WorkshopLost for Words when you need them the most! Presenter: CiCi Edwards-Jensen has worked alongside palliative care patients and their carers for the past ten years as they confront the many emotional, spiritual and physical life/health transitions raised by their illness. CiCi has experience within the acute, hospice and community sectors and conducts grief and loss workshops in a group setting. For people living with a life threatening illness, it is an enormous task to provide social, emotional and spiritual support to people dying. This task is often undertaken by family, friends and workmates, who often feel unprepared for such a role. Most people find talking about death and dying very challenging. This workshop explores why that might be given changes in our society over time as well as our own reactions to death and dying. The session also explores:
